  1. I went there once ...I like the way Bloomingdale's juts out into the mall on the lower level. This is the 1st Blommie's I visited. The 2 new Atlanta stores look sharp also.

  2. That was my first Bloomingdale's too. When I went, they were still rocking the original upfit from the late '70s and it wasn't great (though it was certainly unique). The latest version is less funky, but a lot more refined.

    I like how the lower level juts out into the mall too. They did that because the original store (built as Landsburgh's in 1968) has no basement. Tysons started out with one shopping level, so a lower sales floor wasn't important.

    When the mall expanded, Bloomingdale's dug partially into their existing foundation and took over part of the new mall space.
